Professional development plan
I am always eager to learn new things and find ways to continue my education while expanding my professional skills. My assignments and class discussions have given me insight into new tools and technology that I now use at work every day. I can only better myself by continuing to learn and explore new opportunities in my work environment, and I plan to keep that mentality wherever I may go career-wise.
Here you will find my professional development plan, which includes both short-term and long-term goals, as well as my personal philosophy regarding librarianship and the importance of information literacy. Being a student during the COVID-19 pandemic has come with a lot of uncertainties surrounding the future job market. Finding a job with such little library experience on my resume sounds like an impossible task, but I could never justify quitting school because I loved being a student. I genuinely enjoyed all of the work I have completed over the last four years, and being a student has been such a rewarding experience. At this point in my career, I am lucky to already have a fulfilling job that I absolutely love.
