This portfolio highlights my coursework, experience as an LIS student, and it contains personal reflections that illustrate my skills, knowledge, and progress in the program. As you navigate, I hope it gives you a sense of who I am both personally and professionally.

A bit about me

I am originally from Dublin, Virginia, but my family moved to North Carolina when I was fifteen. I currently live in Hickory with my daughter and our fluffy labradoodle, Oakley. I received my BA in Communication Studies from Pfeiffer University in 2013, then began working towards my MLIS from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2018. It was an honor to graduate from UNCG in the spring of 2022.

I am highly-organized, detail-oriented, and an avid note-taker. I love learning how to do new things, and I am a very kinesthetic learner.

I really enjoy nature and being outdoors, whether it be hiking, camping, kayaking, or just reading a book in my hammock. Classic novels are my favorite, but I branch out occasionally. Some of my favorite things are coffee, music, tattoos, home projects, and movies. Sometimes I doodle.
